Any of a number of promotional comic books (that do not have their own associated tag in our database) used to promote non-comic book products or events, usually given away for free or free with purchase. Other names generally used for this category include 'premium' and 'giveaway.' Overstreet's Comic Book Price Guide has a whole section dedicated to promotional comic books and their prices. It is a niche market for collectors. Many can be rare, but with little demand. Free Comic Book Day and Halloween Comic Fest books are not included here, as they have their own tags and they actually promote comic books themselves.
